Paul Hall & Associates Foundation Presents Grant to Local FFA Equine Judging Team

The National FFA Organization prides itself on teaching students premier leadership, personal growth, and career success: all three of which can be exercised as a member of a judging team. Participating in a judging contest teaches participants how to look at a group of animals, determine the strengths and weaknesses of their physical characteristics, and place them accordingly. Participants are then asked to present a set of oral reasons defending their placing. Evaluate, Analyze, Defend Your Stance: this is a process that can be applied to many aspects of life, but especially in building career success.

Paul Hall & Associates Foundation has presented the Blanchester-Great Oaks FFA Equine Judging Team with an Expand Your Horizon Grant for their trip to Tulsa, Oklahoma to compete in the Arabian Horse Association Judging Contest. The team is comprised of Anna Rodgers, Ava Wright, Olivia Hatter, and Greta Quigley, and is led by agricultural educator Eric Heeg. They placed sixth in the state of Ohio, thus qualifying for this national contest. They are excited for such an incredible opportunity. Ava states, "What I learn in Tulsa, I can bring back and share with younger students who want to judge equine or [learn] basic knowledge of equine."
